2 volunteers meet and greet clients, provide them with a food pack and invite them to choose from the additional products on display. It is also an opportunity to engage with clients, lending a listening ear when required.
Wednesday and Friday 10am to 12 noon
Sorting
2 volunteers work in the food bank store sorting, date-marking and storing donations. These volunteers also make up food packs ready for the next distribution day.
On Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and Friday mornings
Set up
2 volunteers set up the room ready for distribution, ensuring that sufficient family and single packs are available and that the fresh produce and other products are appropriately displayed.
