The Food Bank are looking for volunteers to become local Community Champions.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a considerable surge in demand for food support within the Haslemere & District community. Since the Food Bank was set up in 2013, it has been heartwarming to see the faithfulness, thoughtfulness and generosity of local residents who have supported our work over the seven years of our existence. We are also incredibly grateful for the support of the many new supporters in the community who are helping us to continue through this crisis.

However, as we say ‘thank you’ for all the support received to date, we are also asking people to continue to support the work that the food bank does into a somewhat uncertain future.

The Food Bank Community Champions will be able to make a vital difference in helping us to secure the donations we need to meet the increased demand. Community Champions will be able to inspire their immediate neighbourhood, workplace, friends and family to support the work of the Food Bank. By co-ordinating donations, and raising awareness of the work that the Food Bank does, a Community Champion can play an absolutely vital role in securing the donations that we need to help families in need.
